weak battery !!!
#1
Recently bought Joyetech cuboid, with 2 brand new brown Lg HG2. My problem is that mod gives me weak batteries below 3.5 volts leading to automatically decrease in wattage so it's not usable below that voltage. So what is wrong, i thought it should give weak batteries below 2.9 volts not 3.5 v according to manual.

My other problem that in wattage mod, the watts are inconsistent, meaning sometimes it reads 0.38 ohm then 0.40 ohm then 0.44 ohms?!!

Currently have firmware v3.1

Thank you.

For some people on another forum, downgrading to 3.00 firmware seemed to solve the unstable resistance problem.

Weak battery means you battery has trouble delivering enough power. If you're vaping at high power (>100W), 3.5V seems reasonnable to prevent your battery from sustaining damage.

Do you have a link for v3.0 cause i didnt find it on joyetech's site.

Also i was vaping at 55w that's why i was concerned.

You have both 3.00 and 3.10 in the 3.10 update package.

I did a new build, a simple dual 26awg at 0.48 ohm at 42w, vaped 145 puffs, 620 seconds, also gave me weak batteries just below 3.5v. Am not impressed with battery life, do hope someone from joyetech is watching this thread and give us an update that would help with battery life.

I've also been having battery issues with batteries not lasting as long as they should and not putting out proper power when low on charge. Hope they fix this soon. I've tried several different pairs of ne batteries from different manufacturers. I'm at .47 ohm @ 75 watts when the batteries hit 3.5 the device can't keep up. I'm on the latest firmware v3.13

What are these batteries?

I've tested with

4 x Efest purple 2100 mah (Charged 150-175 times)
4 x Efest purple 2800 mah (Charged 200-225 times)
4 x LG HG2 3000 mah (Charged 1 time)

The LG HG2 are brand new and I've tested both pair. One pair gets down to 3.6v and then tells me low battery and atomizer short. I've checked and there is no short. The other pair of LG HG2 gets to 3.5 and says weak battery. I've checked all my batteries and they are all authentic.

Prior to this I had a SnowWolf 200w v1 and the batteries never had any issues, minus the LG HG2 which I just bought a couple days ago, I've never used them in the SnowWolf and that device is no longer functioning for me to check them on it.

The HG2 should certainly work. Efest is a mixed bag as you probably know.
