New I questions about eVic primo 2.0
#1
Hey guys

This is my first post here. I just ordered an eVic primo 2.0 and I am waiting for it to arrive.

Now I downloaded the manual and it says I need a battery with

Duel 18650 CDC > 25 Amp

Which battery would you recommend for this sort of device. I am kinda looking for safety. I generally take care of things but I wouldn’t want one exploding or something. ? technical terms venting I think.

Also it says to use Avatar QC charger. I couldn’t find one. But I did find Avatar QC2.0 Quick Charger, will that work as well.

Any more beginner things I should know about. Till now I have been using an ego aio. That is straight forward device. I am used to it now. I kinda carry it everywhere I go. Is evic primo for same kind of usage?

Hope to hear from you guys.

Cheers

A good brand to start with is Samsung INR18650-25R 2500mAh Battery - Flat Top. They are cheap and last a long time I use them in all my devices. You will need two and you want to keep them married witch means you want to use them together never separate. This is so they are hold the same charge and drain at the same level. Also over time if the battey wrap cracks or tears, You can get new wraps. This will help with any fears of battery venting that you may have. . Venting mostly occurs with mechanical devises that are not regulated. The eVic Primo 2.0 is a regulated divice that applies two sets of battery protection circuit system, realizing overall battery protection of over-charging, over-current and over-discharging, which makes it more safe and reliable.
Now you really don't need a charger but if you are looking for a good one. The brand I use is Nitecore I have two, a 2 battery and 4 battery charger. I would also suggest two sets of batterys that way you always have a set of charged batterys and it will extend the batters life and put less stress on them. Hope this helps any questions fill free to ask 微笑

Hi! I'm using Samsung Q30 batteries on my both Primo's. I have no problems with those. Primo is a great all-around device, powerful, fast-charging and versatile.
