It is a kind of noisy indeed, and the TC mode provides a good chance to save your coils. The VW Mode seems strange to me...never saw a device firing anything below 2 Volt, but it makes sense to me that the pulse regulation causes some heartbeats from the box.

Can you use a higher USB charger <1amp to charge the VT?
Will it damage the mod?

it's ok providing the output is 5V.
However, we kindly suggest you use the standard charger.

I've got a 5V @2A USB at home. Was just wondering if I can use it. Didn't wanna
disfigure the cool looking VT. 大咧嘴

But since you suggest to use 1A, I'll get one online.
