1.03 HW and 2.0 FW
On SS jump out to 20W power and doesn't change back to SS for some time..
Same was on 1.2 FW..
And Ni is working good.

what kind of SS wire did you use bro?

Using 0.4mm 304SS.
But it's changing color to some strange...

Are you using SS twisted coil?
Did you use Ni twisted coil as well or just normal single space horizontal?
Check if you are getting hot legs/ hot spots?
Wire color change might be due to burn hot spots.

1. No it's parallel wire. 0.4 x 2
2. Ni cant be used twisted or any touching..
3. No..because i cant make it work longer than 1sec 微笑
4. Maybe it's even not SS wire 微笑 because color changes to Brass color...

- it's new not used wire 微笑 it's worked max for 1sec..

Today again will try with normal coil.. (i had a try before - same got just burning cotton..)

have you tried building/using a single non contact ss coil?
I have always believed that temp control coils work best when they are non contact, IMO

My problem was in bad SS wire..
Some photo to see different. Used coil for 10min all is perfect 微笑

When you press the fire button, watch the resistance and see if it climbs. From what I understand if the change in coil resistance is too slow or minimal, it will jump out of temp mode and into power mode. You might be using too thick of a wire or too low of a wattage.

My friend had this problem with his 26 gauge nickel, I redid his coil with a 28 gauge and so far it has been fine.

I'm using sweetvapes  .6mm wire which I think equates to around 23 gauge. What gauge are others using with success? I'll try to bump up the wattage, but from what I recall, it seems to kick me out to power mode after a 3 sec drawl.

Thanks!

I think there is a mistake somewhere.....
I went to sweet-vapes website for the titanium wire and they only have 24/26/28 gauge titanium wire.
http://sweet-vapes.com/ta1-titanium-wire-30ft-spool.html

I also went over to steam engine website and plugged in your numbers. At 23 gauge Ti1 wire with a target resistance of 0.61ohm you would need 25 wraps around a 3mm ID

As mentioned before, fire and vape on the mod in the mirror and see if the resistance climbs up. If the resistance does not go up I would suggest a thinner gauge wire or higher wattage setting

Thanks for the response
I got it from vapor dna http://www.vapordna.com/Sweet-Spot-Vapors-Ti-Titanium-Wire-10-Feet-p/swspti.htm doesn't say guage just 0.6mm. My calculations may be of. I got 5 wraps reading .51 ohms. I bumped up the wattage to 65 and still kicks me out. Maybe i'll try stainless steel since the mod i have (evic mini tc) now has SS mode.

Thanks again!

gr8! You found the problem. 大咧嘴
Can't wait to try out the new SS mode.
Waiting for SS wire to get here.
Anyone tried using SS cot hangars? Getting impatient..... Lol
