It's working great, wish I could save the settings for the various tanks and atomizers I use.
when i run my rdta on 70w what is then the best preheat wattage? lower than 70w or 5w more so 75w ?

There is no real answer for that question other than what ever preheats your coil to your liking is the best setting. The whole point of preheat is to get shorten or eliminate the ramp up time for large coils. Without preheat you have to choose between a slow ramp up that warms up to a nice vape after a couple seconds or a short ramp up that gets too hot after a couple seconds. Preheat allows you to get a nice quick ramp up and a nice steady vape. You just have to find the sweet spot with trial and error.
In my opinion it is more, also you can determine the length of time to choose by estimating the time it takes to start producing vapor with preheat off. What we are doing is applying extra watts to the coil to make it start producing vapor, once it is producing vapor it drops to your wattage setting. Preheat should just assist the device, so if it takes 3 seconds to produce vapor apply extra power for 1 or 2 seconds.

Which model are you using and which setting and with which coil?

70 W vs 75 does not make a real difference that you would feel.

i have a cuboid with a cleito and rta system in it. i have a dual coil build on 0.38 ohm. i vape it now on 50watts and the preheat is set to 48 watt 0.3 sec
Set it 0.3 s 80 - 100 w. If you feel it's a harsh throat hit then lower but should not be.

ok so you mean when i vape on 50wats that i set the preheat 0.3 sec between 80-100watts?

To me that looks like a better setting you can try. and you can try slightly longer times on the preheat. Experiment and see what gives you the best vape. But I think you see now your trying to pump extra power to the coil right when you press the fire button to 'preheat' the coil.
