Hello dear community,

to be honest i just created a account for this specific problem. The support couldn't or didn't want to help me, so i try to get a solution from other users:

Very often, the eGrip II doesn't "gurgle" or do any noises when i try to vape. It produces steam and the LED etc. working fine. But when i vape, the steam tastes very very biting and hurts in my throat. It doesn't happen everytime but very frequently, often enough to discourage me from vaping.

I used 1,5/1,0/0,6 and 0,5 coils, this problem occurs with everyone of those. I even changed the liquid 3 times, always from different manufacturers and still no solution. I cleaned the eGrip, i have changed the coils and tried turning the power up and down, the problem is still existent. I hope anyone can give me a hint whats going wrong

The symptoms you're describing usually are caused by a coil that either has not been primed correctly, or that has worn out. If you are properly priming the coils when you change them I don't know what the problem is. Don't give up, discuss it with the folks you bought the device from. If they can't resolve the issue keep searching the forum and asking questions, someone has had or will have that same problem.
Just like Cosmic said, please always prime the coil, that is drip a few drops of e-liquid into the head before its first use.
Also, under which mode and what about your settings for each head?
Also to high of a nicotine level is hard on the throat....What level of nicotine are you using?
I am using 10mg nicotine, the symptoms still occur when i use liquid with 6 mg. I also don't think the coil has worn out, this happens pretty quick after i have placed a new coil. If it is worn out, all five coils in the package must have been poorly manufactured.

Further, i ALWAYS prime the coil. I drip 2-4 drops of liquid into it, reassemble the eGrip and then i wait for about 15 minutes, until i can be sure, that the coil has been soaked.

About the mode, i'm using the standard power mode (is it named that way?). After priming, i place the 1,5 Clapton Coil and start at 8W. Then i slowly raise the power to 12-14W.

Seriously you should try going down to 3mg if you use coils under 1 Ohm. 6mg would be ok for coils over an Ohm. 10mg is high.

I am feeling fine with 10mg, i was smoking quite a lot before vaping. As i previously wrote, i even used 6 mg for a longer period of time. This, however, didn't solve the problem, nor did it improve it.
Thus i am sure, that it's NOT the nicotine concentration, being the problem.
I started with 18mg, now i am at 10mg which is quite a good achievement imho. I am trying to reduce it even more, but everything at it's time.

Hi Everyone! I am in the same boat. I recently purchased my Egrip II, I am a MTL user. I primed and installed the 1.5 coil, let sit for 20 min in 50/50 6mg nic juice, started at 10w, for the first 2 tanks, and worked my way up to 13w. The device performed flawlessly for 4 days, then POOF, burnt the coil. I purchased 3 more 1.5 mtl coils, repeated the process, and within 20 minutes, the new coil burned up as well. Frustrating! I primed up a 3rd coil, and let it sit and soak overnight. started at 8w, and used as usual for about 3 hours. Poof, there goes the 3rd coil. I am also using the same juice in an aspire vivinova with a 1.8ohm coil at 13w on a sigelei 75. with no problems there. I decided to install the 510 adapter and use my vivi nova on the egrip. set to 11w, within 4 hits, coil is fried. I actually disassembled all these coils to verify the cotton looks like a piece of charcoal. I am currently trying to get in touch with the vendor I purchased this from, but its not going fast enough. I seriously suspect something is wrong with the device  嗯 and hope there is a way to get it resolved, as i absoulutely love everything about it!

It's easy to make it not to gurgle, but that was most visible issue that all Youtube reviewers focused on. Real problem is coils that do not wick well. First, holes are too small, and second there is too much pressure from the bottom contact of the coil and "golden circle", compressing O ring (probably pushing the cotton up) and preventing the thicker juices to flow inside.

So, dry coils burns. The 0.6ohm MTL is the one that last longest (4-5 days) before I start to taste burnt cotton in Wattage mode, or constant "protection" message without vape in TC mode.

I have ordered pack of new LVC coils and hope they will last longer. Great device, but coils are so unreliable.
